So when the U.S. Mint announced the discontinuation of the penny, we knew we had to find a way to honor that legacy while adapting to the change.

Pennies 2025 and Earlier: The Original Method Lives On
For all pennies dated 2025 and earlier, we are continuing our original, beloved stamping method: we stamp a heart around the existing year already on the penny. This preserves the authentic penny date in its original form, with our signature heart framing it beautifully. Nothing changes here — the same handcrafted process you've always loved.
2026 and Beyond: A New Tradition Begins
Since new pennies will no longer be minted after 2025, we've created a new method for commemorating future years. For 2026 and beyond, we will be stamping the last two digits of the year directly inside the heart — so instead of framing an existing date, we're hand-stamping the year ourselves, right at the center of the heart.
This means your piece is still deeply personal and year-specific, just created in a new way that honors the spirit of our original design while adapting to a world without new pennies.
